Windows 7 Cannot Open Internet Socket
This problem can be overcome by resetting the Sockets catalogue and IPV4 as I have experienced. You can follow the given steps:
- Run command prompt as administrator. (Location of cmd.exe is C:\Windows\System32).
- Type the command netsh winsock reset and press enter.
- Type the command netsh int ipv4 reset and press enter.
- If you are using IPV6 then reset it using netsh int ipv6 reset and press enter.
- Then reboot the system. Hope on restart you get working Internet Download Manager.
PS: Close all the applications before rebooting to avoid unsaved data loss.
Enjoy
